The mission of The Elder & Disability Law Center offices in Tysons Corner, Virginia; Laytonsville, Maryland and Washington, DC is to provide centralized access to practical resources for clients with a wide variety of elder or disability legal issues.

We pride ourselves on our ability to adapt our services to the needs of each person and family. With sensitivity to those elderly or disabled, our lawyers have a combined 30 years of legal experience advocating for the individual or familial client who is confronting the challenges of disability, illness or planning for long-term care. We have experience working with a wide range of clients including:

• Individuals and families interested in long-term health care planning and preservation or distribution of assets, such as revocable trusts, credit shelter trusts, marital trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, qualified domestic trusts, or family limited partnerships
• Couples in need of guidance regarding topics such as Medicare or Medicaid planning, nursing home admissions, guardianships, and asset protection
• Parents, adult children, and siblings of people with disabilities, including Down Syndrome, autism, Bipolar disorder, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, or Alzheimer’s disease through the establishment of special needs trusts and other legal protections
• Military or non-citizen families from entities such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and local military bases, needing assistance developing an international estate plan
